We Are Dublin GAA Senior Camogie League

Thursday, April 18th 2019

As we head into the long weekend, we have eleven more results to bring you from the We Are Dublin GAA Senior Camogie League. Tonight’s action came from both the Inter 1 and Inter 2 competitions, along with both groups in the Junior 1 league.

After the Easter weekend the attention will again turn to Round 5 in Senior 1, Round 4 in Senior 2, and Round 3 in Junior 2, Junior 3 and Junior 4. But for now let’s get you up to speed with all tonight’s action.

Inter 1 League, Round 4

Ballyboden St. Endas remain at the top of the pile tonight, but only by a point as their battle with Naomh Brid ended in stalemate. That 2-09 to 4-03 score keep Brigids nipping at Boden’s heels, only two points behind them. Erins Isle still sit in second position despite being on their bye week this week. A 2-17 to 0-03 win for Lucan Sarsfields sees Naomh Fionnbarra record their third loss in four games and they’ll have a stiff task next week against Isles. Naomh Peregrines drew level on points with Isles tonight as they were 1-09 to 1-06 victors over Thomas Davis. The Round 4 game between Na Fianna B and Clanna Gael/Fontenoy will take place on April 28th.

Inter 2 League, Round 2

Crumlin are the only team in Inter 2 with two wins from two. Their 1-12 to 1-04 win over Naomh Olaf puts them on top of the league table, but there’s a long way to go yet. CBC/Portobello got their league off to a winning start tonight with a 2-14 to 1-02 victory over Faughs/Celtic B and they’ll head to Whitehall next week. Naomh Padraig, who recorded a big loss to Olaf’s in Round one, bounced back tonight with a 5-17 to 0-03 win over St. Vincents C. And Pats will welcome leaders Crumlin to home turf for next weeks fixture.

Junior 1 League Group 1, Round 2

Kilmacud Crokes remain unbeaten after two games. Their 2-15 to 1-04 win over Naomh Barrog tonight puts them at the top of the table, But Erins Isle are chasing. After a Round 1 bye, Isles stole a one score vicory over Naomh Maur in this evening’s Round 2 game by 2-08 to 3-04. So next week’s clash between Kilmacud and Erins Isle will be one to watch.

Junior 1 League Group 2, Round 2

Good Counsel continue to lead the line in this group. Tonight’s 1-07 to 0-05 win over Naomh Mearnog sees them one point ahead of Skerries and Raheny. Those two sides were deadlocked tonight in their match by 2-07 to 3-04. A win for St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh tonight gets them on the board, and it sees Naomh Jude suffer their second loss. The game to watch next week will be Good Counsel’s visit to Skerries.

And that’s all the results from tonight’s games. Enjoy the Easter weekend. Join us next weekend for more Camogie League action.
