Dublin Senior Camogie Championship

This morning saw the commencement of this year’s Go Ahead Ireland Dublin Senior Camogie Championship. And the first round in both the Senior 1 and Senior 2 campaigns have all been completed. Here’s everything you need to know.

Senior 1 (Groups A & B)

Deadlock in this morning’s game between Na Fianna and Lucan Sarsfield. Nothing seperated the sides at full time on a 1-10 to 1-10 scoreline. In the other Group A fixture, St. Vincents picked up where they left off last year beating Kilmacud Crokes in their opener by 3-15 to 0-10.

In Round 2 Na Fianna will play local rivals Vincents, with Lucan entertaining Kilmacud Crokes.

Group B saw Ballyboden St. Endas get off to the perfect start as they were victorious against Faughs/Celtic by 0-18 to 1-06.

Reigning Champions Naomh Jude also started on the front foot against visitors St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh. A seven point victory saw them finish on a 2-11 to 0-10 scoreline.

In 2 weeks time Boden will travel to Plunketts for their next round game, with Faughs and Judes going head to head.

Senior 2 (Groups A & B)

Newcomers to the Senior 2 grade Erins Isle held 2020 finalists Cuala to a 0-10 a piece score draw to get the campaign started. And Naomh Mearnog will be happy with their opening round 2-11 to 1-07 win over Ballinteer St. Johns.

Round 2 sees Isles travel to Ballinteer, with Cuala and Mearnogs going head to head.

In Group B Skerries Harps and Good Counsel squared off this morning. And Good Counsel came away with a 1-11 to 0-09 win.

Round 2 sees Skerries into their bye week with Good Counsel and Castleknock squaring off.
