It’s Wednesday night and that means it’s time to name the We Are Dublin GAA, Dublin Player Of The Weekend.

For our new followers that have joined us over the last week and don’t know what this is, it’s a weekly award we give to the Dublin Player in our opinion was the standout player from the previous weekends intercounty action.

There was plenty of games last weekend to choose a winner from with the Dublin Senior Ladies Footballers, the Dublin Senior, Premier Junior and U16B Camogie squads and the Dublin Senior Hurlers all in action.

But the player we have chosen for this weeks award put in a stunning display for their team and was instrumental in her sides victory which resulted in a sixth Leinster Senior title in a row.

The winner of this weeks We Are Dublin GAA, Dublin Player Of The Weekend award is NOELLE HEALY.

Noelle was outstanding in the Leinster right from the off as she tore at the Westmeath defence with scintillating pace, power, intelligent interplay and accurate shooting that the midlanders backline found too hot to handle.

She finished as top scorer on the day and her haul of 2-03 included two brilliant goal finish that would light up any game. But it wasn’t just her scoring feats that made the St Brigids star standout, but also her clever offloading to her fellow forwards which resulted in numerous other scores on the day.

Noelle defended from the front forcing numerous overturns of the ball and she tracked back to help out the defence whenever Westmeath broke forward.

So there really could have been only one winner this week, congratulations Noelle very well deserved winner of this weeks award for an outstanding display.
