As the Dublin LGFA club championship Round 2 results filtered through on Wednesday evening there were big wins for Kilmacud Crokes, Thomas Davis and St Sylvesters at senior level.
Kilmacud Crokes after a bye round the previous week got their campaign off to an impressive start with a 6-22 to 0-02 win over Clanna Gael Fontenoy in Group A of the senior club championship.
The other game in the group involved the meeting St Brigids and Thomas Davis who had both recorded wins in the round one, but it was the visitors to Russell Park on Wednesday evening Thomas Davis who made it two wins from two thanks to thirteen point win with the final score 4-08 to 0-07.
In Group B of the senior championship St Sylvesters, last season’s intermediate, county, provincial and All Ireland champions who continued their impressive return to the Senior ranks with a second win in a row in a high scoring encounter against Clontarf with the game finishing 6-11 to 4-11 to the Malahide side.
Also in Group B reigning county club champions Foxrock Cabinteely made it two wins from two as they seen of the challenge of southside rivals Ballyboden St Endas by 2-13 to 1-09.
