Dublin’s Senior Ladies footballers take on Westmeath this Sunday in the TG4 Leinster Senior Final in O’Moore looking to win an historic fifth title in a row.

Lots of media attention this week focused on the fact that this should have been played as the curtain raiser for the men’s Leinster Final on Sunday week and rightly so.

It was a subject raised here as far back as last August when the All Ireland semi- final between the Dublin Ladies and Armagh fell on the same day as the men’s replay between Dublin and Mayo, but yet again this call has fallen on deaf ears, but it should be pursued further and is the future.

There was a lot of comment on social media sites about the subject this week with plenty of supporters behind the idea, plenty of fans claimed they would get in early to support the Dublin Ladies if indeed it was switched to Croke Park.

Well the venue maybe different on Sunday but it’s time for those same supporters to put their words into action and travel to O’Moore Park in big numbers and get behind our girls in blue.

A large support at the game will not only be a big boost to the team, but will also show the powers that be in the Gaa that there is an appetite from supporters to attend these games and that will help pave the way for these games to be rightly played alongside the men’s at the same venue.

So we are calling on all Dublin supporters to make the trip on Sunday to support our Dublin Senior Ladies Football squad and roar them on to a fifth Leinster title in a row.

YOUR COUNTY NEEDS YOU!!!!!!
