We’re back in Croke Park later today for all the action in the TG4 All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final

TG4 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Dublin v Galway
Sunday, September 15th. 4:00pm
Croke Park

They say there’s no rest for the wicked. Certainly not for the participants in this years TG4 All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. And for many Dublin fans the hopes of extended celebrations will continue today as a massive crowd make there way back to Croke Park.

The dust hasn’t even settled on yesterday’s replayed All Ireland Men’s Final, with Dublin celebrating an amazing five in a row achievement. Today it’s the turn of Mick Bohan Senior Ladies who go in search of their third consecutive title.

They’ve faced and beaten Mayo and Cork in the last two years after being the losing side for three consecutive years before that. And today may be their greatest moment to date.

A tricky and polished Galway side stand in their way of retaining the Brendan Martin Cup. And the LGFA are hoping for another record attendance to witness their showcase for 2019.

Dublin start today with 12 of the players who lifted their second All Ireland a year ago. Noelle Healy gets a well deserved recall, with the girls in blue suffering a blow losing star forward Nicole Owens to injury. But there’s fire power in abundance across the starting line up and of course their very talented bench.

Bohan’s charges put in a sublime performance in the Semi Finals to see off the challenge of their oldest rivals Cork. Sinead Aherne and newcomer Caoimhe O’Connor both bagged green flags to seal a 2-11 to 0-11 victory.

Will we be celebrating another wonderful day in the capital? We’re counting down the hours.
