Cork 1-05
Dublin 1-04

It’s been another very close contest between Dublin and Cork here in Mallow in the first half of today’s Lidl National Football League round 3 game.

Dublin got a great start to the game and ten minutes in they led 1-01 to 0-01. A Carla Rowe point attempted came back off the post and was picked up by Lyndsey Davey.

She still had plenty of work to do put beat a couple of tacklers before slotting the ball into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

But Cork fought back and Dublin were guilty of giving away a few unnecessary frees and they were punished when an attempted point from a free dipped just under the crossbar for a very fortuitous goal.

The game is still in the melting pot and with all bar one of Corks scores from frees, if Dublin can maintain their discipline in the tackle and reduce the free count they have the players up front to claim the win.
