A few days ago we sat down with Mayo Senior Ladies football manager Peter Leahy to get his thoughts on today’s Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 1 Final against Dublin.

Peter spoke about his excitement for the game as he pits his team against the team he believes is the best in the country.

The new Mayo boss says his priority through the league campaign was to find a panel and he believes he has done that and gave game time to 32 players during the league games.

Although Mayo have been scoring heavily in recent games there is a concern for the Mayo man that his side are also conceding a high number of scores and the difficulty for Leahy and his team is getting the balance right between attack and defence.

Peter maybe a little tongue in cheek or using a little cute hoorism continually emphasised Dublin’s aggression in the tackle which was both amusing and ironic considering his own side are no shrinking violets when it comes to aggression.

Leahy though says his side are coming up to Parnell this afternoon in confident mood and he expects an entertaining game and that both Mayo and Dublin will shoot the lights out this afternoon.
