It’s the next round in this year’s Leinster Minor Ladies Football Championship. And Dublin will be looking to get their first win under their belts following an opening round defeat to Meath.  They face another stiff challenge today, as Kildare put in a great opening round performance, beating Offaly 2-22 to 0-02.

A 3-06 haul from Emma Duggan paved the way for Royal victory in the Minor Championship clash between Meath and Dublin at St. Margarets. With the aid of a stiff wind, the Royals soared into a 2-08 to 0-02 half time lead. But on the restart, Dublin managed to reel in the Royals’ significant lead and reduced it to a single goal, Dublin captain Jodi Egan finding the net. But a third Duggan goal and a strong finish from the Royals gave them their first Minor win over the team from the Capital in some time.

Today, Dublin will be hoping that they can chalk a win, and will look to captain Jodi Egan, and other prevalent scorers like Sarah O’Leary, and Laura Quinn to deliver.
