A must win for Dublin’s Minor Ladies this afternoon if they want to stay in this year Leinster Championship hunt

Dublin v Kildare - Leinster Minor Ladies Football

Fintan O’Curry’s Minor Ladies Football panel have a big task this afternoon if they’re to contend this year’s Leinster Championship Final. They face an unbeaten Kildare side, and need to come away with a win to keep their championship hopes alive.

An opening day disappointing loss to Meath in Navan stopped Dublin in their tracks at teh first hurdle. But the girls in blue bounced back in Round 2. And their convincing 2-14 to 2-02 victory over Laois saw they spring their championship hopes back to life.

Goals from Sophie McIntyre and Shauna Feely gave Dublin an edge on a rainy April afternoon at Ballyboden St. Endas. Both forwards scored 1-04 each, with Megan McAuley, Heather Bolger, Niamh Donlan and Ava Lambe also adding their names to the scorecard.

O’Curry has made three changes to the Dublin team that started the round 2 win over Laois. Coming into the starting line-up are Sarah Power, Kate Donaghy and Ava Lambe in place of Niamh Donlon, Shannon Russell and Shaunagh Delaney.
