There were plenty of talking points after last nights Dublin LGFA adult league cup round 2 results as the various divisions hotted up.
In Group 1 of Division 1, Kilmacud Crokes put the disappointment of last weeks defeat behind them with a seven point win over fierce rivals Ballyboden St Endas with the final score 2-17 to 2-10.
Foxrock Cabinteely made it two wins from two with a ten point win over fellow south-siders Cuala by 4-16 to 4-10 although the normally compact and mean Foxrock defence will be unhappy with the concession of four goals.
The final game in the group produced an excellent performance from the impressive Thomas Davis who built on last weeks opening round win with a comprehensive twenty three point victory over Clanna Gael Fontenoy with the score at the final whistle 4-14 to 0-03.
Group 2 of Division 1 was blown right open last night, Parnells lost their second game of the competition narrowly as visitors Castleknock left Chanel with a two point win on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-14.
St Sylvesters produced a strong second-half comeback to secure their first win by the narrowest of margins against a Fingallians side who had impressed in the opening round win over Parnells with the full time score 1-14 to 2-10.
In the final game in the group Clontarf making their first appearance in this season adult league cup made it a winning one against a St Brigids side brimming with confidence after their round 1 victory over St Sylvesters. Clontarf had nine points to spare at the finish with the final score 4-13 to 2-10.
