Dublin senior ladies football star Olivia Leonard has won the Fingal Independent Sports Star Of The Year Award.
Olivia had a phenomenal season for both Dublin and her club St Maurs, putting in a string of top class displays throughout 2016.
Olivia was the main driving force for her club St Maurs as the Rush outfit swept all before them as they won the Junior Dublin, Leinster and All Ireland titles with Leonard a commanding force in midfield, a constant scoring threat going forward and a true leader in every game.
Add in the huge contribution from Olivia in helping the Dublin Senior Ladies footballers win the Leinster Senior title for the fifth year in a row and reaching a third All Ireland Final in a row, there wasn’t a more deserving winner of the Fingal Independent Sports Star Of The Year Award.
