Leinster Minor Championship Final

For a second Sunday in a row all roads lead to Clane as it’s the turn of the Dublin minors to go in search of provincial honours.
Dublin have been preparing patiently and diligently for this final owing to the fact that their last competitive fixture was back on the 2nd of April last. On that date Dublin saw off the challenge of Kildare, on a score line of 1-13 to 0-07.
Martin McDonnell’s troops began their 2016 Leinster campaign way back on the 6th of February getting the defence of their Leinster crown off to a good start with a 6-13 to 1-06 win over Laois. This was followed up with victories over Wexford (1-13 to 1-04) and Offaly (5-14 to 0-02) respectively.
Westmeath come into Sunday’s clash as many people’s underdogs but Dublin hold the upmost respect for their opponents having witnessed the tremendous progress of the midland County in recent times. A number of their minor panel will be togging out for their senior side on Sunday week in the Leinster final versus Dublin in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise.
