Dublin’s Hannah Tyrrell capped off a brilliant championship campaign with a tally of eight first half points in her sides All Ireland Final win over Kerry

DUBLIN’S Hannah Tyrrell has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for August 2023.

The 33-year-old forward, from the Na Fianna club, was player of the match in the 2023 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship Final on August 13, as Dublin defeated Kerry to claim the Brendan Martin Cup.

Hannah scored eight first half points, including four from play, in a stunning performance as the Sky Blues won the TG4 All-Ireland Senior title for the first time since 2020.

The victory also ensured a first TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship medal for Hannah, who linked up with the Dublin Senior panel in 2021 following a superb International rugby career.

Hannah’s outstanding TG4 All-Ireland Final performance capped a brilliant individual season for the attacker, who scored 1-21 during the course of the TG4 All-Ireland Championship series.

Hannah scored 0-5 in defeat to Kerry in the group stages, before following up with 0-3 against Cavan as Dublin booked their place in the quarter-finals.

In the last-eight clash with Donegal, Hannah collected 0-3, before adding 1-2 in the impressive semi-final victory over Cork in Thurles.

Hannah was presented with her Player of the Month award this afternoon by Ina Lazar, Sales Manager, The Croke Park.
