Naomh MearnĂ³g GAA was the setting yesterday for the Dublin LGFA inaugural Eugene Egan Memorial Tournament.
It was a brilliant morning and afternoon of top quality action with over 200 girls showcasing their skills in a host of exciting games.
Teams from Dublin, Kildare, Antrim, Tipperary and Monaghan took part in the tournament.
After the group games had been completed it was Dublin and Antrim who contested the Cup final and it was Kildare and Tipperary who faced each other in the Shield final.
Both finals were exciting affairs with Dublin winning the Cup competition and Kildare coming out on top to win the Shield.
But the real winner yesterday was Ladies Football and a big congratulations has to go to the organisers of the tournament, the coaches and of course most importantly all of the players that took part.
