Promotional Head shots of the Dublin Senior Ladies Footballers as they name a Strong Starting 15 For their clash with Mayo

Dublin’s Strong Starting 15 A Real Statement Of Intent

TG4 SFC Group D Qualifier

Dublin v Mayo

Saturday July 28th

Venue: Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon

Throw-In: 1pm (Live on TG4)

Sinead Goldrick and Leah Caffrey return to the Dublin side as manager Mick Bohan names a strong starting 15 for this Saturday’s eagerly awaited clash with Mayo.

Goldrick started on the bench last week against Cavan and made a telling contribution when introduced in the second half.

Leah Caffrey missed last weeks opening qualifier group game because of a knock picked up in training but has recovered to take up her place in the backline.

14 of Dublin’s All-Ireland winning team that lined out against the same opposition last September are listed to start in this latest encounter between these two modern day rivals.

With Leah Caffrey and Sinead Goldrick reintroduced into the back six two time All Star Siobhan McGrath switches with Thomas Davis, club-mate Olwen Carey to partner Lauren Magee in midfield.

Up front the experienced Lyndsey Davey is named on the half forward line with Oonagh Whyte who impressed in last week’s tussle with Cavan named amongst the replacements.

Naomh Barrog’s, Laura McGinley who popped up from corner back to score two first half goals in last Saturdays win over Cavan, only to be replaced at half time owing to injury is also listed amongst the Dublin replacements.

The strong starting 15 is not only a statement of intent from Dublin, but also how seriously Mick Bohan and his side are taking the challenge of Mayo despite the turmoil within their camp over the last number of weeks which seen 12 players leave the Mayo squad.

Maggie Farrelly from Cavan is the official in charge of this latest instalment between Dublin and Mayo with the throw in time listed for 1pm.

The game is live on TG4 and We Are Dublin GAA and the Dublin LGFA will also have LIVE score updates over on their Twitter accounts @WeAreDub and @dublinladiesg

Half time and full time round ups, match reports and other news can be found on both the We Are Dublin GAA and Dublin LGFA various social media outlets and also on their respective websites.
