Dublin Minor Ladies Football manager Martin McDonnell has named his first team of 2017 as the girls in blue begin the defence of their Leinster title with a home fixture against Longford in St Margaret’s GAA Club at 2pm this afternoon.
Dublin are the dominant force in this grade in the province and they won’t give up their strangle hold of Leinster easily. Also having reached the All Ireland Final last season they will be looking to go all the way again.
The first part of that journey begins today against Longford and as the competition is straight knockout, McDonnell’s charges will need to hit the ground running.
