Dublin Junior Intermediate Ladies Football Championship Final - Live Updates

Sunday, October 31st

Another day, another Halloween, and another huge afternoon of sport in the capital. And St. Margarets GAA will host a double header of Ladies Football as the Dublin Junior and Intermediate Championships will be decided. And we’ll be there to bring you all the action as it happens.

The opening game will see the Junior Championship throw in at 2:00pm with Clontarf B taking on St. Judes. Judes recently picked up the Dublin Senior 1 Camogie title for the second consecutive year, and there are a few familiar names in today’s football panel. Last year’s runners up saw off O’Dwyers by 2-04 to 1-06 to book their place in today’s final.

Their opponents Clontarf B are the surprise package in this year’s Junior Championship. a 2-08 to 1-10 saw Clontarf beat Scoil Ui Chonaill in their last four clash to reach today’s decider.

In the second of today’s matches, hotly tipped St. Sylvesters will face Castleknock both hoping to be crowned Intermediate Champions.

Castleknock took a 2 point victory over Skerries Harps from their Semi Final to make a return to the Intermediate Final, having finished runners up last year. That 2-12 to 2-10 win will see Castleknock in confident mood ahead of today’s game.

The firepower of St. Sylvesters will hopefull be on display again this afternoon in what’s being dubbed “The Battle Of Fingal”. The Malahide outfit enjoyed a comfortable 5-15 to 0-13 victory over St. Maurs in their Semi Final. And if they bring that attack to Margaret’s this afternoon, they’ll be a hard side to stop. But on Championship Final day as we know, anything is possible.
