Week Ending Sunday, April 15th 2018
Plenty of Club Championship action this weekend. However we still had some inter county deciders taking place yesterday and today in Camogie and Ladies Football.
Yesterday, both Dublin’s U16 Camogie panel were in Leinster Championship action in a double header on St. Davids. And both teams emerged victorious. The U16A panel booked their place in this year’s Leinster Final with a 1-11 to 0-05 win over opponents Offaly. Dublin will now face Kilkenny in the final scheduled for Sunday, May 6th. With only 0-02 between these two sides in their Round 2 game, this has the makings of a very close and eventful Final.
The U16B panel were too strong for opponents Laois in yesterday Leinster Semi Final. The girls in blue finished the game with a result of 5-15 to 2-03 and have booked a place in the Leinster B Final against Carlow, who beat Westmeath this afternoon by one point on a score of 2-07 to 2-06. This final is also scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 6th.
This afternoon in Dunganny, Dublin’s U16 Ladies Football panel completed the round stages of their Leinster Championship with a win over Meath 6-10 to 3-09. This game was initially meant to be the opening round of the competition but the horrible weather earlier in the year put paid to that. The girls in blue finish the round stages with three wins from three having already beaten Kildare and Wexford. They now wait until May 20th for the Leinster Final.
Here is confirmation of the three inter county results from this weekend.
