Another quiet weekend, and it’s Under 16 action taking centre stage with fixtures in two Leinster Competitions
The action continues this weekend, with two Leinster Championship fixtures; in Ladies Football and Camogie. And both the Under 16 sides from Dublin competing are facing their final round robin games.
Saturday, April 9th
Kildare v Dublin
Leinster U16 Ladies Football Championship
Eadestown GAA Club. 2:00pm
The Dublin U16 Ladies Football panel are in the box seat after two rounds in this year’s Leinster Championship. They opened round 1 with a 4-09 to 2-09 win over Meath in Navan. And that was followed up two weeks later with comprehensive 5-09 to 0-04 victory over Laois.
Saturday sees them travel to Eadestown GAA Club to face Kildare in their final round, with a place in the provincial Semi Final at stake. On paper Dublin should leave Kildare with a win, but it’s championship so anything can happen.
Throw in on Saturday is 2:00pm at Eadestown, and you can purchase tickets by clicking here.
Sunday, April 10th
Dublin v Wexford
Leinster U16 Camogie Championship
Trinity Sports Grounds, Santry. 2:00pm
Niall Daly’s eyes are still focused on advancing a Leinster U16 Camogie decider with his panel. And after a good learning experience in their opening defeat to Kilkenny, the girls travelled to Birr and came away with a 2-08 to 0-06 win over Offaly.
It’s a very quick turnaround in this competition, so the U16’s will be hoping the past 2 weeks will help keep that momentum going as they welcome Wexford to Trinity Sports Grounds this Sunday for Round 3.
All Dublin will want this weekend is another win to qualify for the final. Lets hope they get the support they deserve.
The game throwing in at 2:00pm on Sunday is accessible by ticket only and you can purchase tickets by clicking here.
