Dublin 1-05
Cork 2-07
Dublin’s Minor Ladies Footballers find themselves down by five points at the break in today’s All Ireland Final against Cork in Pearse Park in Longford.
Dublin got off to the perfect start when Rachel Douglas scored the games opening goal after just two minutes.
But Cork found their feet quickly and hit two goals of their own both scored by Saiorse Noonan.
Dublin were finding it difficult to deal with the direct running of Cork early on and were guilty of standing off their players a little too much.
But the girls in blue got to grips with Cork as the half progressed and forced the girls from the rebel county to shoot under pressure which led to a number of wides and some balls that were dripped short.
Dublin will need to move the ball a little quicker into their forwards in the second half to counteract Corks blanket defence.
