It’s a big weekend of action for Dublin LGFA squads at U14, Minor and Senior grades in League and Leinster competitions.
The Dublin Senior ladies footballers welcome Galway to the Capital on Sunday and will be aiming to keep their 100% Lidl ladies national football league record intact and take another step closer to the semi finals.
The game will take place in the GAA National games development centre in Abbotstown with the game down for a 1.30pm throw-in.
Contrary to misinformation in misleading click bait posts across social media from some fan pages the Dublin Senior ladies did not have their game moved from Croke Park to facilitate the hurling quarter final.
The Dublin v Galway game was never pencilled in to be played at GAA headquarters as some have claimed.
There were enquiries as to if the game might be played ahead of the Dublin v Monaghan game but the fixture chaos caused by the recent adverse weather conditions meant it was a non runner.
The Dublin U14’s get the weekends action underway on Saturday as they finally get their Leinster Championship campaign underway against Kildare in IT Blanchardstown at 12pm.
And then at 2pm in Annanough GAA Club the Dublin Minors will have their first competitive outing of 2018 as they face hosts Laois in the Leinster Minor Championship Quarter Final.
So plenty of top class ladies football action to look forward to this Saturday and Sunday for Dublin supporters to enjoy and hopefully there will be large crowds at each of the games. #coygib
