Micheál Donoghue will hope for better fortunes in this Leinster clash welcoming Westmeath to Parnell Park
Dublin v Westmeath
Leinster Senior Hurling Championship. Round 2
Saturday, April 29th. 6:00pm
Parnell Park, Dublin
Coming away from Corrigan Park last week the Dublin Senior Hurling Panel will have breathed a sigh of relief. They snuck a point in that opening game but will ned to improve if they want to compete with stronger opposition in the Leinster Championship.
Taking something from the match was mainly due to a terrific performance from Cian O’Sullivan who hit six points, five from play and a converted sideline.
Donal Burke was quieter than usual against Antrim, and if Dublin can get their two main scorers firing on the same day they’ll be seriously competitive.
Westmeath suffered a forgettable 22 point defeat at teh hands of Kilkenny in their opener and will look to Dublin as a way of making ground. The game will prove vital for both sides.
Dublin boss Micheál Donoghue has today named his panel for this weekend Leinster clash against Westmeath at Parnell Park.
There is one change to the side that started in their Round 1 draw with Antrim in Belfast last weekend.
Ronan Hayes comes into the starting lineup, replacing Alex Considine.
