Ahead of this weekend’s clash between Dublin and Galway in the Leinster Senior Hurling Quarter Final in O’Connor Park, Leinster GAA spoke to Galway’s Padraic Mannion and Dublin’s Niall McMorrow about their thoughts and aspirations for the summer of 2017.

With Galway dropping to Division 1B after last season, they immediately focused on their improvement and beating Tipperary in the league final will have only done good things for the Tribesmen going into the Championship.

Dublin will have to settle for Division 1B hurling in 2018 but before that they can right some of the wrong starting this weekend.

Niall McMorrow mentions blooding a lot of young players as one of the positives from this year’s league campaign despite relegation, and while he commends Galway on how emphatically they achieved their league success this year, he admits that Dublin will not focus on that but only on themselves.

Padraic Mannion says Galway will take nothing for granted even winning the League title this year and knows this weekends game against Dublin will be a stern test as Dublin are a side who, given and inch will give them no sympathy.
