All the action on Twitter as Dublin go in search of their first Leinster Senior Hurling Championship win

Leinster Senior Hurling Championship - Dublin v Wexford

Dublin v Wexford
Sunday, May 19th. 3:00pm
Parnell Park, Dublin

Last year Dublin fought tooth and nail in the Leinster Hurling Championship. But fell short on three occasions against the big guns. Last week, after a promising first half performance, the same happened again as Kilkenny took over and won comfortably.

At Innovate Wexford Park twelve months ago, the Dubs left a victory behind by 0-02 as Wexford ran out winners. And Mattie Kenny will not want the same outcome today as they welcome Wexford to Parnell Park.

The Dublin manager has named the same fifteen that started against Kilkenny, showing faith in his original selection, but Davy Fitzgerald’s men pose a massive challenge as Dublin look to recoup from last week’s defeat.

A masterclass from TJ Reid and Co saw Kilkenny run out 2-23 to 1-21 winners despite a more than polished first half performance from the Dublin side. The action was played at a feverish pace of the highest intensity and the Dubs stood the test for a long period of the game. But the experience of the cats prevailed, mowing through Dublin in the second half to secure the win.

Fans will be looking for a similar show from last week’s opening half with home turf playing a massive advantage, just like their league win over Waterford earlier this year. The atmosphere is expected to be intense with a big crowd expected at the Donnycarney venue. Lets hope this game lives up to the expectations
