Ballyboden St. Endas hold the top spot in Group 1 after the opening 2 rounds. And as the leaders head into their bye week, it’s give an opportunity to na Fianna or Cuala to take advantage.

Like wise Cuala sat out Round 1 and got up and running with a 2-23 to 3-16 win in theor battle with Plunketts. Barring a draw between the sides one will cath Ballyboden at the top of teh Group 1 table.

At the same time in O’Toole Park St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh will square off against St. Judes adn with both losing their opening 2 games this is a chance to make up some ground. Both sides have still to go through their bye rounds so they’ll have one round each after this weekend.

St. Vincents v Craobh Chiarain
Saturday, August 13th. 3:45pm. Parnell Park
St. Brigids v Kilmacud Crokes
Saturday, August 13th. 3:45pm. O’Toole Park

Kilmacud Crokes and St. Brigids have both had their bye weeks across the first 2 rounds. It’s Lucan Sarsfield’s turn to sit a round out this weekend having beaten Craobh Chiaran in the last round.

Craobh Chairan will be hoping for a tunr in fortune facing a strong St. Vincents side at Parnell Park on Saturday. Vincents have beaten Lucan by 2-18 to 0-21 in Round 1 and had to settle for 2-16 to 1-19 draw against St. Brigids in the last round. So they’ll want to put more points on the table before their bye week.

St. Brigids will want to build on that drawn game with Vincents but will be facing Champions Kilmacud Crokes in their Round 3 clash. Crokes saw off Craobh Chiarain in Round 1 on a 0-27 to 0-14 scoreline before their bye in Round 2. So they’ll have three rounds on teh bounce to mount the challenge of retaining the Senior 1 silverware.
