Full round up of results from Round 2 of the Dublin Senior A Hurling Championship
Week Ending Sunday, April 22nd
With St. Brigids and Ballyboden St. Endas game this morning bringing Round 2 of the Senior A Hurling Championship to a close we can now take a look at the results and standings after two full rounds, as the competition now takes a break ahead of the Inter County Championships
After two rounds St. Vincents are two for two beating St. Judes yesterday in Parnell Park. Their final game in the group will be against O’Tooles, who beat Raheny on Thursday night, leaving them bottom of the pile. They’ll meet St. Judes in the final round.
Na Fianna and Kilmacud Crokes have qualified for the Quarter Finals, and play each other in the final round, as the round 3 game between Whitehall Colmcille and Naomh Fionnbarra will have no bearing on the top of the group table, as they have each lost both their round games so far.
Like Group 2, the two teams at the top have qualified for the Quarter Finals before the remaining group games will be played. Cuala and Ballyboden St. Endas meet in Round 3 as do Craobh Chiarain and St. Brigids.
Round 3 will decide this group as Lucan Sarsfields will face Setanta and Crumlin will meet Ballinteer St. Johns. A win for Lucan will see them top the group having already beaten Crumlin and Ballinteer, but Setanta have the chance to qualify themselves so there’s nothing set in stone just yet. Ballinteer can also still qualify if they beat Crumlin by a large margin, but obviously it will be dependent on the result with Lucan and Setanta.
