Senior A Hurling Championship

We’re well and truly back in action after this weeks Dublin Senior A Hurling Championship clashes. Round 3 brought some absolutely huge scores. So here’s all the results from this week’s match ups.

Group 1

After three rounds Kilmacud Crokes and Na Fianna will advance to the knockout stages of the Senior A Hurling Championship. Nothing could seperate the sides back in the opening round with their game finishing 1-16 a piece. But since then both have recorded big results.

Crokes followed up their win over O’Tooles back in April with a 0-24 to 0-13 win over Faughs yesterday in O’Toole Park. And Na Fianna hit O’Tooles for five goals with a whopping 5-24 to 0-14 cricket score.

Group 2

Cuala have found their groove again and are three for three after their 1-32 to 0-06 victory over Ballinteer in the second game in O’Toole Park yesterday. The result puts them two point clear of St. Brigids, finishing as group leaders.

After losing to Cuala in Round 1, Brigids have won their last two games, finishing yesterday five points clear of St. Judes on a 1-20 to 2-12 scoreline. Their Round 2 won over Ballinteer earns then the second Quarter Final Slot.

Group 4

Reigning champions Ballyboden St. Endas and Lucan Sarsfields qualify from Group 4 and into the Quarter Finals.

Boden completed the group unbeaten with a 6-29 to 0-05 win over Setanta on Thursday in Parnell Park. Definitely a bigger winning margin than their previous two games as they only shaded one point wins over Lucan Sarsfield and Whitehall Colmcilles in the opening two rounds.

Lucan come away with four table points having beaten Whitehall Colmcille  by 2-20 to 1-15 this afternoon.
