More Leinster action this weekend for Dublin’s Inter County Panels
Week Ending Sunday, May 20th 2018
All competing Dublin panels are on the road this weekend and all in Leinster action for the inter county fixtures, starting Saturday afternoon.
Dublin’s Minor hurlers will be looking to pick themselves up after a unlucky defeat to Kilkenny yesterday in Parnell Park. They make the trip to Portlaoise to take on Laois in Round 2 of their Leinster Championship. Laois lost to Wexford on Saturday so both sides will be looking for valuable points before the final round on May 25th. Throw in at O’Moore Park is 3:30pm
Two massive games on Sunday afternoon, and Pat Gilroy’s Senior Hurling Panel start first against Wexford in Innovate Wexford Park at 3:00pm. The Dubs suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Brin Cody’s kilkenny yesterday and with Offaly and Galway still to come after this weekend they’ll be looking to take a scalp in Wexford. This will be Wexford’s first game in the competition, having their BYE in Round 1 so this has the makings of a great contest.
Last and by no means least, Dublin’s U16 Ladies Footballers will look to win some silverware in Clane at 3:45pm when they face Kildare in this year’s Leinster Final. The girls have already faced and beaten Kildare in the round phase 1-11 to 0-07 and will be looking to repeat that performance, and their winning performances against Meath and Wexford in the hope of lifting the title.
And that’s your travel plans for the weekend, wherever you decide to go.
