Its’ the time of the year were everyone wants to give their 2 cents worth as we look toward the biggest football game of the year.
Every TV pundit, Sports DJ, Newspaper columnist, ex player, and spectator will have their own slant on this Dublin and Mayo battle.
Former Kerry captain and now football columnist Declan O’Sullivan took time out to speak to GAA.ie and give his thoughts on the game.
Regarded as one of the greatest centre fowards of the game, O’Sullivan won five All Ireland titles during his eleven year inter county career, including captaining Kerry to their back to back All Ireland success in 2006 and 2007. Declan has played with and against some of the greatest players the game has seen and knows a thing or two about winning championships.
In this video interview, Declan explains the simplicity involved in winning a final, do the basic things right. He believes on paper that Dublin’s form is far better than Mayo going into this game but also acknowledges that Mayo go in under the radar, and their performance against Tyrone will have grown them in confidence.
Let’s see if you agree with what Declan thinks.
