It’s not long now before the focus returns to Croke Park. A mouth watering Spring Series Double Header of Hurling and Football.

And last year All Ireland finalists will go head to head at 7:00pm. We’d often hear the time old phrase “what is it about Dublin and Kerry” but Dublin and Mayo is fast becoming a heated rivalry if the last number of years have anything to go by.

When these two sides meet, you can be guaranteed a fierce competition perhaps for bragging rights. But one things for sure this Saturday encounter between Dublin and their Connacht foes will be another to remember.

This week GAA.ie spoke to Jonny Cooper about how he feels about this match up.

The Na Fianna man talks about respect, and how Mayo always bring the best out of Dublin. He claims there’s no inch given, and Dublin will always try and win in any way they can.

It’s no secret that there hasn’t been much between these sides over the last few years and Cooper knows that Mayo are ready to go and ready to challenge for the top honours.
