Tonight sees another big occasion in Parnell Park as St Judes and Castleknock go head to head at 7.30pm in the Dublin SFC semi finals to see who will face St Vincent’s in the final next week.

Having missed facing the two favourites for the title both sides will see this as a perfect opportunity to make a county final and it’s a game very hard to call.

For some Castleknock have been the surprise packets of this years Championship and they will hope to make their first ever county club final.

St Jude’s defied the odds the last day out when they defeated Kilmacud Crokes who were the favourites to advance after they themselves had dethroned the holders Ballyboden St Enda’s in the previous round.

It will be an interesting matchup tonight, Jude’s played with a packed defence and counter attack at pace with Kevin McManamon the fulcrum for most of their attacking play.

Castleknock are also very adept at turning defence into attack and their quick offloading of the ball through the lines and blistering speed they play the game at, may cause Jude’s serious problems if they turn the ball over when they have committed bodies forward.

It’s a game that’s just to hard to call, Jude’s are probably slight favourites after their victory in the quarter finals,
but Castleknock have the ability within their ranks to claim victory.

Let’s just hope tonight’s game is a little less feisty than last nights encounter and a game of football breaks out tonight.
