This Saturday sees the second pair of Quarter Finals take place in this year’s All Ireland Senior Football Series. Tyrone and Armagh lock horns at 4:00pm, and of course Dublin will face Monaghan at 6:00pm in Croke Park.

The build up to this weekend has been phenomenal with a crowd of 82,000 expected at GAA HQ to witness these two massive games.

Jim Gavin’s Dublin side have once again been crowned Leinster Champions, for a record seventh year in succession and now turn their attention to their much beloved Sam Maguire.

The boys in blue have faced Monaghan only four times in the Championship; 2014, 1923, 1922 and 1908. And they beaten the men from the Farney County on each occasion. This will be their eight consecutive Quarter Final appearance since losing to Kerry in 2009.

Still by far the bookies favourites, Dublin last met Monaghan in 2014 and on that day they were convincing 2-22 to 0-11 winners.

This weekend will not be looked past by Jim Gavin and his ever strengthening panel of players, as they go in search of a third All Ireland title in a row.
