The red card Eoghan O’Gara received in the All Ireland Quarter Final against Donegal after a shocking decision by referee Ciarán Brannigan has been downgraded to a yellow.
The decision made last night by the Central Hearings Committee means that the Templeogue Synge Street forward is now available to take part in next weekend All Ireland Semi Final against Kerry, should boss Jim Gavin need him.
It was decided after investigation that the slap to Neil McGee’s stomach did not warrant a red card.
This will be good news to the Dublin boss, the panel, and indeed the fans ahead of this massive All Ireland tie.
