Today, the Dublin Minor footballers play their opening game in this year’s Leinster Minor Football Championship against Louth in Parnell Park at 3:00pm

This year the competition is an U17 contest with a new round-robin format. The Dubs, co-managed by Ger Gleeson and current Dublin senior selector Jason Sherlock, are in Group 1 with Meath, Westmeath, Offaly and Wicklow as well as today’s opponents, Louth.

Dublin will host Louth and Wicklow while they must face Meath, Offaly and Westmeath away.

Group 2 this year contains Wexford, Kildare, Carlow, Laois and Longford

The top two from each group will progress to the semi-finals, which will take place on July 7th, with the final provisionally scheduled for July 14th or 18th.
