Dublin and St Judes star Kevin McManamon showed a real touch of class last Thursday evening.

McManamon’s St Judes had just suffered another agonisingly loss at the semi final stage of the Dublin SFC this time at the hands of Castleknock who had made history by qualifying for their first ever Dublin Senior Club Championship Final.

The Castleknock supporters streamed into the pitch to celebrate with their team and Ciaran Kilkenny was swamped by a huge number of young fans desperately trying to get an autograph or photo of their hero which Ciaran was more than happy to oblige them with.

McManamon could easily have headed for the sanctuary of the dressing room, but instead he sought out his fellow Dublin teammate, made his way through the supporters that were surrounding Kilkenny and warmly embraced him congratulated him and wish him the best of luck in the final.

It was a touching and classy moment from McManamon and just showed how close the bond is with the players in the Dublin Squad.
