St. Columbas Mullinalaghta v St Vincents
AIB Leinster Senior Club Football Semi Final
Sunday, November 27th. 2:00pm
Glennon Bros Pearse Park, Longford
This Sunday, the buses will load up in Marino and head towards Longford as the White and Blue of St. Vincents hit the road for their AIB Leinster Senior Football Semi Final against St. Columbas Mullinalaghta.
Having beaten Castleknock in a thrilling county final, the boys from Marino made easy work of Carlow Champions Palatine at Netwatch Cullen Park on November 13th. Vincents will go in search of those great Championship runs they’ve experienced in recents year. The six time Leinster Champions will be anxious to add their seventh and look towards 2017 and the All Ireland Series.
1950 was the last time St. Columbas Mullinalaghta won the Longford Championship and will use Pearse Park to their advantage when they welcome Vincents. They’ve already dispensed of Laois Champions Stradbally and Westmeath Champions St. Lomans to set up this Sunday’s massive Semi Final in the clubs history.
St. Vincents fans will certainly look to turn Pearse Park White and Blue on Sunday. And the winners will be rewarded a final berth against the winners of the other Semi Final between Sean O’Mahony’s and Rhode, which takes place at theĀ Gaelic Grounds, Drogheda.
