It’s a huge night for both Ballymun Kickhams and St Vincent’s as they battle it out this evening in the semi final of the Dublin SFC.

This meeting of two of the heavyweights of the Dublin senior football club scene will be one to savour if previous meetings are anything to go by.

Both sides are brimming with plenty of inter county talent both current and past, but tonight for sixty minutes those friendships will be put to one side as both sets of players endeavour to secure a place in the Dublin SFC Final for their respective clubs.

Ballymun have seven players who have played or play for the county, Philly McMahon, James McCarthy, Dean Rock, John Small, Dave Byrne, Jason Whelan and Ted Furman.

St Vincent’s will also have seven players within their ranks that have either are or have donned the famous sky blue jersey, Michael Savage, Diarmuid Connolly, Tomás Quinn, Hugh Gill, Jarlath Curley, Ger Brennan and Shane Carthy.

With such an array of talent on show and the stakes so high this evening sparks could very well fly in what has all the hallmarks of being a classic encounter between these two great rivals. All the action gets underway at 7.30pm in Parnell Park and is one not to be missed.
