It will be a momentous and historic day this Saturday in Croke Park for not one but two Dublin Squads on the hallowed turf of the famous stadium.

It all begins at 5pm when the Dublin Senior Ladies Football team take to the field of play to take on their counterparts from Mayo in a league encounter.

It will mark a piece of history as it will be the first time a Ladies Football National Football League Match has taken place in Croke Park.

That game will be followed by the League meeting at 7pm between the Dublin Men’s Senior Footballers and relegation threatened Roscommon.

Jim Gavin’s unbeaten side will be looking to make their own piece of history as a win or draw against the Rossies will see them bring their unbeaten League and Championship run to 35 games and hence a place in the GAA history books as the team with the all time longest unbeaten record.

It promises to be a feast of high quality football on Saturday for what should be two thrilling encounters. We would appeal to all Dublin supporters to get into Croke Park early and get behind our Dublin Senior Ladies Footballers as they strive for vital league points in their quest for a semi-final spot.
