With less than a few days to go to Dublin’s Senior Footballers biggest game of the year, it’s quite warming to see some of the players giving their time back to the community despite their busy schedule.

Dublin and Ballymun Kickhams Dean Rock drafted a few of his inter county team mates to help out at Stewart’s Sports Centre in Palmerstown, and their Fully Inclusive Summer Camp.

The camp is designed for kids from 6 to 16 with physical and intellectual disabilities. Acitivities have included indoor football, Zumba classes, basketball, and also a visit from a magician and some Super Heroes.

There’s also been a mobile pet farm so the children can get up close to some of their favourite animals.

Joining Dean Rock this week were Michael Darragh Macauley and Ciaran Kilkenny who have gladly taken the time our from their training schedule. And I’m sure you’ll agree the time spent with the kids has been very rewarding and worthwhile.
