Dublin 0-10
Tyrone 1-07
Dublin’s unbeaten record has stretched out to 31 games as they snatched a late draw against Tyrone tonight in Croke Park.
Dublin were behind by two points after the first half but found themselves behind by five eleven minutes into the second period.
Dublin awarded a penalty early in the second half but Dean Rocks effort was saved and shortly afterwards Dublin were easily cut open right through the heart of their defence and Aidan McCrory slid the ball between Stephen Cluxton legs for the opening goal of the game.
It wasn’t looking good for Dublin at that stage as they struggled to breach the Tyrone blanket defence.
But a red card for Mark Bradley changed things with Dublin finding a bit more space and they gradually clawed their way back into the contest to draw level with some excellent points from Dean Rock with four brilliantly struck frees and Brian Fenton, Ciaran Kilkenny with two beauties from open play.
Two worrying things in the game were the sight of James McCarthy being helped from the pitch with what looked like a serious knee injury and the other was the shocking display by referee Joe McQuillan.
