The Dublin Senior Football Championship continues on Thursday, April 26th

A few postponed games being played tonight, but Round 2 of the Dublin Senior Football Championship gets underway from this Thursday, April 26th.

Wins for Kilmacud Crokes and Raheny in Group 1, send them in with their tails up. And in a double header this Thursday night in Parnell Park, Raheny will face Ballyboden and Kilmacud will take on St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh.

In Group 2, Na Fianna and St. Vincents both enjoyed Round 1 victories, and they face each other this Saturday evening in Parnell in what will potentially be the game of the round. Skerries Harps and Lucan Sarsfields will square off in St. Margarets on Friday to try keep up with the group leaders.

St. Sylvesters and St. Judes were both winners in Round 1 and will avoid each other until the final round in Group 3. They’ll face Ballinteer St. Johns and Parnells respectively in an O’Toole Park double header on Saturday afternoon.

Ballymun Kickhams and Castleknock are the front runners in Group 4, but with two rounds to go St. Brigids and Clontarf will look to registers valuable points this weekend. Clontarf face Ballymun in Balgriffin on Friday and St. Brigids will meet Castleknock on Saturday in Parnell Park

Dublin Senior Football Championship - Round 2 Fixtures

St. Mary’s and Erins Isle play their rescheduled Group 1 Round 1 game tonight before Isle’s face St. Peregrines this Friday, and St. Mary’s take on Thomas Davis on Saturday. Thomas Davis registered their first win against Peregines in Round 1.

In Group 2, Fingal Ravens and St. Patrick’s Palmerstown also play out their Round 1 game tonight before Round 2 gets underway. Ravens will then play Round Towers Clondalkin and Pats will face Fingallians. Towers were the victors over Fingallians in Round 1 of this group.

Naomh Olaf were successful in Round 1 against St. Anne’s in Group 3, and they’ll take on Naomh Mearnog, who are playing their first championship game, this Sunday afternoon in O’Toole Park.

Finally in Group 4, both Cuala and Whitehall Colmcille were winners in Round 1, and they’ll meet each other in O’Toole Park this Thursday. Templeogue Synge Street and St. Maurs face off in their Round 2 game on Sunday morning in Drumnigh.

All Senior 2 games will be played from Friday to Sunday, April 27th to 29th.
