This weekend we reach the midway point of the Dublin Senior Football Championship
Another busy weekend ahead. And from Friday night the Senior 1 Football Championship again takes centre stage after an exciting weekend of hurling action. And as Round 2 comes along we’ll have a better picture of the knockout landscape. So here’s everything you need to know.

Group 1
Raheny v Whitehall Colmcille
Friday, September 24th. 7:30pm. St. Margarets
Ballyboden St. Endas v Na Fianna
Sunday, September 26th. 4:00pm. Parnell Park
A top of the table clash between Ballyboden St. Endas and Na Fianna is the one to watch this Sunday in Parnell Park. Boden were 2-17 to 0-08 victors over Raheny with Na Fianna beating Whitehall Colmcille by 1-18 to 0-12. The winner of this game will be in the box seat ahead of Round 3.
It’s not over yet for Raheny and Whitehall Colmcille though as they square off at St. Margarets this Friday night. A win for either will put them back into contention.
Group 2
Kilmacud Crokes v St. Vincents
Sunday, September 26th. 2:00pm. Parnell Park
Castleknock v Ballinteer St. Johns
Sunday, September 26th. 2:00pm O’Toole Park
Just like Group 1, Kilmacud Crokes and St. Vincents will go head to head to establish dominance in the group. And it’s the the opener in the Parnell Park double header on Sunday.
Only 2 points seperated St. Vincents and Ballinteer St. Johns in Round 1 on a 1-18 to 2-10 scoreline. And a 2-18 to 1-12 result saw Crokes overcome Castleknock.
Castleknock and Ballinteer will square off in O’Toole Park at the same time to try stay in the hunt for a knockout slot.
Group 3
Thomas Davis v Clontarf
Saturday, September 25th. 5:00pm. O’Toole Park
Skerries Harps v Ballymun Kickhams
Saturday, September 25th. 6:00pm. Parnell Park
Ballymun Kickhams toughed it out with Thomas Davis in Round 1 and came away with a 1-12 to 1-10 victory. They’ll take on Skerries Harps on Saturday night with Skerries hoping to capitalise on their Round 1 win over Clontarf.
Clontarf and Thomas Davis take to the O’Toole Park surface on Saturday evening at 5:00pm both gunning for a victory.
Group 4
Lucan Sarsfield v Round Towers Lusk
Saturday, September 25th. 4:00pm. Parnell Park
St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh v St. Judes
Sunday, September 26th. 4:00pm. O’Toole Park
Lucan Sarsfield and St. Judes played out a 1-14 to 1-14 draw in Round 1 splitting the points so both sides will be heading into this weekend with one thing in mind.
Judes head for O’Toole Park on Sunday to take on St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh. Plunketts came out on the losing end of a 3-16 to 0-19 to Round Towers Lusk in Round 1.
To keep momentum up, Round Towers will look to score a second win when they face Lucan Sarsfield on Saturday evening at Parnell Park.
