Dublin are now 30 games unbeaten after they recorded a seven point victory over Cavan this afternoon in Breffni Park to get the defence of their league title off to the perfect start.
Dublin were well in control throughout and never looked in danger of losing this one as they controlled the tempo of game and used intelligent patient football to open up the Cavan defence.
The 16,231 spectators in attendance were treated to a good game of football and some sublime points in particular from Scully, Kilkenny, Fenton, McCarthy and MCCaffrey.
There were some brilliant performances from a number of Dublin players, none more so than Niall Scully who won the player of the match award.
