Dublin Senior Footballers crowned Leinster Champions in this week’s Inter County Results.
Week Ending Sunday, June 24th 2018
What a great way to end a week of Inter County action. A week with mixed fortunes but some results to still smile about.
Bord Gais Energy Leinster U21 Hurling Championship
Dublin’s U21 Hurling panel exited this year’s Leinster competition on Wednesday after a tough battle against Wexford in Parnell Park. The boys in blue fought hard in this semi final but Wexford held on to sneak the victory on a score of 3-15 to 3-12.
Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship
While the U21’s bowed out against Wexford, Dublin’s Minor Hurlers got the job done yesterday in Innovate Wexford Park qualifying for this year’s Championship Final on a score of 1-22 to 3-13. The boys in blue will now meet Kilkenny in the Final on June 30th.
Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship
David Herity’s Senior Camogie squad travelled to Pairc Ui Rinn earlier today for the second round in this year’s All Ireland Championship following their opening day victory over Offaly, but sadly Cork remained unbeaten with the win over the Dubs by 4-15 to 2-03. The girls continue their road trip on July 7th with a match against Meath.
Leinster Senior Football Championship
Croke Park witnessed Dublin’s Senior Football panel capture a historic eight Leinster title as they won comfortably against Laois. Dublin now enter the All Ireland Super 8 competition with their first fixture scheduled to be against Ulster Champions Donegal, who beat Fermanagh this afternoon. The game is scheduled for Croke Park on either July 14th or 15th.
And that’s it for this week. Two wins two losses. And onto another busy week next week.
