This afternoon in Newbridge Dublin and Kildare will go head to head in the O’Byrne Cup semi-final. The two sides have faced each other many times with the Dubs mostly having the upper hand against the Lilywhites.
Back in 2011 it took a disputed Bernard Brogan free to seperate the teams in the Leinster Championship semi-final. But fast forward only four years later at the same stage of the championship and both counties, form wise, had gone in opposite directions and the Dubs easily dispatched their near neighbours hitting them with five goals on the day.
First half goals from Dean Rock, Bernard Brogan and Diarmuid Connolly set the sky blues on their way to victory and Brogan and Connolly found the net for a second time late on in the game.
Whether Paul Clarke’s side hit five past Kildare later today only time will tell. So for now here is a highlights video of all five of those 2015 goals to enjoy again.
