Dublin and Kerry do battle in what is expected to be yet another classic All Ireland Senior Football Final
Dublin v Kerry
All Ireland Senior Football Final
Sunday July 30th 2023. 3:30pm
Croke Park, Dublin
The stage is set and the lines have been drawn. The two most succesful footballing counties in the country will do battle one more time this afternoon for the bragging rights of the Sam Maguire cup. Arguably the clash of choice for any football supporter. And one that never disappoints.
We’ve seen so many duels between Dublin and Kerry over the years it’s impossible to pick a favourite. And maybe come 5pm this evening there might be a new favourite encounter.
Against Ulster opponents both sides dug deep to impress, getting across the finish line to book their places in today’s decider. Today sees the 17th decider between these great sides with Kerry collecting 8 wins, Dublin 6, with 2 ending in stalemate.
Most recently last year’s Championship semi final will have thought both Dublin and Kerry valuable lessons. For Dessie Farrell it was the second consecutive Semi Final his side had lost, but the resulting homework has seen several Championship veterans return to the fold to bolster Dublin’s claim for silverware this year. And it will suit the boys in blue if Kerry go into this afternoon’s game as favourites.
