Live Updates From Throw In

What else would you be doing on the second Saturday in September? And with the sun splitting the stones, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect day for an All Ireland Football Final Replay. The dress rehearsal brought us a seriously nail biting encounter. Kerry had the opportunity to steel the show. But Jim Gavin’s Dublin side once again pulled it out of the bag in the dying moments to end the game a draw and send us into a replay.

The two week wait is over and the teams have been named for this evening’s proceedings. The ticket’s have been scrambled for, and the pubs will be overflowing as fans try get a good vantage point to watch this much anticipated rematch.

Dublin of course are after their 29th All Ireland title today, but more importantly they would love nothing more than to be the first team in history to lift the Sam Maguire five times in a row. Kerry are up to grab their 38th title. But feel a sense of sever accomplishment if they ended up the team to stop Dublin’s Drive For Five.

Conor Lane takes charge of tonight’s proceedings in his third All Ireland Final. Lane refereed last year’s decider and was also the chief official in the drawn All Ireland Final between Dublin and Mayo in 2016. This game could go either way.
