It would be fair to say that one of the stand out hurlers wearing a blue shirt this year has been Whitehall Colmcille’s Eoghan O’Donnell.
The young Dub caught the eye of Senior Manager Ger Cunningham and played a massive part in the league and championship campaigns for the panel.
This weekend, O’Donnell will hopefully return to the action as part of Joe Fortune’s U21 panel.
Dublin come into this weekend’s game off the back of a hugely successful provincial run where they dethroned a very strong Wexford side who had been aiming for four Leinster titles in a row.
O’Donnell, who has been an integral part of the Dublin defence also has the honour this year of being a his team’s Bord Gais Energy Ambassador.
Earlier this year the full back was asked some questions about his hurling background. Here’s what he had to say.
