We have an absolutely massive week of fixtures to share this week, starting right from today.
Glennon Brothers Pearse Park in Longford is the venue this afternoon for this years All Ireland Minor Ladies Football Final. Dublin’s panel have reached he top of the mountain and will challenge a very strong Cork side for the honour of being named champions in 2016. Throw in this afternoon is 4:45pm
Friday evening, Dublin’s Minor A Camogie Panel will open the championship account as they take on Offaly in this years Leinster Semi Final. Again Shane Dalton will use St. David’s CBS as Dublin’s home turf and throw in on Friday will be 7:30pm.
On Saturday, the Minor B Camogie Panel will travel to Bagenalstown for their replay in the Leinster Championship against Carlow. Nothing separated these two sides last Friday evening and they must do it all again for a place in the B Semi Finals. Throw in will be 12:00pm.
Then it’s Croke Park and the start of Dublin’s All Ireland Senior Football Championship Campaign. Jim Gavin’s men will entertain Donegal in the Quarter Finals. This is a huge game and the boys in blue will have the memory of their 2014 defeat to use as a way of motivation. Throw in at HQ will be 6:00pm.
Sunday is another massive day for Dublin GAA. Johnny McGuirk’s Minor Hurlers are into the All Ireland Semi Final and will take on Limerick at 1:30pm in Croke Park, only one game away from an All Ireland Final.
Our Premier Junior Camogie panel will play their last group game in this years Liberty Insurance Championship and will be looking to finish strong. O’Toole Park will be the venue and throw in time will be confirmed later.
And finally on Sunday, Dublin’s U16A Camogie Panel will take on Galway in this year’s All Ireland Semi Final. The team finished second in their group losing only one game to the group winners Kilkenny. Venue and throw in time for this game will also be confirmed later.
How about that for a packed week of games across all codes. Get out and support the boys and girls in blue wherever you are this week.
